WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say they have recovered a stolen car belonging to Mayor Dennis Williams.

Authorities say a Chevrolet Blazer belonging to Williams was reported stolen about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday from a parking spot outside his house on North Madison Street.

Patrolling officers spotted the vehicle a few minutes later at the intersection of Spruce and 11th streets and called for backup. Officers then stopped the car on Pine Street and took two juveniles into custody.

The 17-year-old male driver was charged with vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and driving without a license and was taken into custody in lieu of $5,550 secured bail.

A 15-year-old male passenger was charged with vehicle theft and receiving stolen property and released on $4,000 unsecured bail.
