ALBION, Mich. (AP) - Albion College has offered full tuition, food and lodging to eight students in exchange for their commitment to service projects that will help the community.

It’s the second year of the program, which is called the Build Albion Fellows. The winners were introduced Tuesday. Seven of the eight students are from Marshall High School.

Albion College President Mauri Ditzler says: “We have big dreams for our town and we have big dreams for our college.”

It’s a lucrative offer: Tuition, room and board at Albion will cost $52,000 next fall.
