PARAGOULD, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say that an 11-year-old boy has died after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding on rolled over on family property in Clay County.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1Ug8VL0 ) reports that Henry Rogers was riding along County Road 1401 with his 11-year-old niece and 5-year-old nephew Sunday morning. Deputy Robert White said that the three hit a bump that caused Rogers’ niece, who was driving, to accelerate while turning the ATV.
White said Rogers was thrown from the ATV and got trapped under the vehicle as it rolled over him. Rogers was taken to a Paragould hospital with head and chest fractures and was later pronounced dead.
The other children suffered minor cuts and bruises.
