LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas parole officer has been arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at a Pulaski County sheriff’s deputy.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/23772kd ) that 31-year-old Christopher Brandon Harris was arrested Tuesday night while deputies were trying to question him after finding him unconscious in a car.
Deputy Joshua Gardner wrote that Harris reached for him and when Gardner grabbed his wrist he took a small handgun from Harris’ hand that had been pointed at the deputy’s waist.
Harris is jailed for aggravated assault, refusal to submit to arrest, carrying a prohibited weapon and driving while intoxicated. Jail records do not list an attorney for him.
Arkansas Community Correction deputy director Dina Tyler says Harris was fired Wednesday as a parole and probation officer in North Little Rock.
