CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A woman working for Charleston County has been arrested and accused of having sex with an inmate at the county jail.

Multiple media outlets reported that 22-year-old Victoria Linnette Brown of North Charleston has been charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate.

A sheriff’s department news release said Brown worked as a production supervisor and was hired by Charleston County through a private service.

The department says an inmate at the jail told officers he had sex with Brown in a walk-in cooler April 2 while working in the jail kitchen.

No other information was immediately available.

Brown faces up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted. It was not clear if she has an attorney.
