CLEARLAKE, Calif. (AP) - Police seized 6,800 marijuana plants and a loaded handgun from associated properties Northern California town.

The Press Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1qTyAgA ) that Clearlake police say they found 2,300 pot plants growing inside and outside the main house on Monday. Officers also say they found tunnels between some of the grow rooms, drying marijuana, illegal electrical connections and mold.

Police say they tagged the main residence because of unsafe conditions.

Clearlake police arrested a 37-year-old man who was the only person on site Monday, but they believe others are involved.

The man booked into the county jail for on charges related to growing marijuana and carrying a firearm. He has a prior felony conviction for possession and sale of marijuana.
