HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - A Portland-area musician and guitar teacher charged with sex abuse has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

KPTV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1qSqqoJ ) that 33-year-old Shaun Toman was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to first-degree sex abuse and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct. He has also been ordered to register as a sex offender.

Toman had been arrested in November after police say he sexually abused two girls who he had given guitar lessons to between 2001 and 2010 in Hillsboro.

Court documents say Toman had admitted to the abuse and to recording a sexual act with a girl. He allegedly told police he needed “counseling for his problem.”
