ARLINGTON, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say a Louisiana woman was killed in a pileup on Interstate 80 west of Arlington.

Sgt. David Wagener with the Wyoming Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Sherry Ohmer, of Morgan City, Louisiana, was riding in the front passenger seat of a commercial truck driven by 57-year-old Richard Huff, of Conyers, Georgia, on Sunday morning.

The nine-vehicle pileup was triggered by a separate crash involved two vehicles that were blocking the westbound lanes of the interstate. The road was slick with slush and snow, and speed limits had been reduced from 75 mph to 55 mph.

Ohmer and Huff were wearing seatbelts. Investigators say the truck the two were in hit another commercial vehicle.

Ohmer died at the scene.
