RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gov. Terry McAuliffe has announced a new forest products trade deal between companies in Virginia and Germany.

McAuliffe is in Europe this week for a trade and marketing mission.

During a stop in Germany, McAuliffe announced that Kenbridge-based America Bluesky Lumber Industry LLC is now selling products to Holz-Schnettler Soest, a German lumber importer and distributor. America Bluesky’s overseas sales have so far been only in China and Southeast Asia.

Virginia sold $64 million worth of forest products, excluding wood pellets, to European companies last year. Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom are the largest European importers of the state’s wood products.

McAuliffe’s trade mission is also taking him to Belgium and the United Kingdom. His trip ends Friday.
