Officials: 10-year-old boy pulled from hotel pool dies

ATLANTA (AP) - Officials say a 10-year-old boy who was pulled from a pool at an Atlanta hotel has died.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/21fC7D0) the Fulton County medical examiner said Stephen Akinlabi died Wednesday morning.

Akinlabi was taken to the hospital on Saturday after he fell into the pool at the Westin Peachtree Plaza and nearly drowned. His parent said he was attending a birthday party.

Westin general manager Ron Tarson said Monday the staff’s thoughts are with the boy’s family.
