PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a Phoenix man is accused of murder after a woman was found on fire.

Phoenix police arrested 28-year-old Hector Manuel Sarty-Aceves on Monday.

Bond was set at $375,000 at Sarty-Aceves’ initial court appearance Wednesday. He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Police say they received a call about a person on fire around 3 a.m. Sunday. Officers put out the fire and discovered the victim was a dead woman who’s tentatively been identified as Niza Ventura Valenzuela.

While investigating the scene, officers found shoe prints and tire impressions made with two types of tires.

Police inspected the tires on Sarty-Aceves’ car and discovered they resembled the mismatched tire impressions found near the body.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to rule on the cause of death.
