PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island State Police are investigating a video showing a violent confrontation outside a Donald Trump rally.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1TwwjBG) documentarian Rod Webber shot the footage Monday at the rally in Warwick.

The video shows a man holding a Trump sign approach another man and spit on him, who responds by punching the spitting man in the face.

Lt. Col. Todd Catlow says there haven’t been any arrests but police are investigating whether anyone should be charged.

Webber, a Rhode Island School of Design graduate, says he’s attended 29 Trump rallies and is compiling footage for a documentary. He says Monday’s rally is the first where he’s seen people spit on each other.
