FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. (AP) - A suburban Philadelphia woman is facing charges in her 2-year-old daughter’s death.

Twenty-three-year-old Kayla Moore was arraigned early Wednesday on charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and child endangerment in the death Athena Wolfe.

Falls Township police say they responded to Moore’s Bucks County home on Sunday when she reported her daughter appeared to be in cardiac arrest. Police say doctors noticed that the toddler showed signs of being a battered and injured child.

She died Monday night and an autopsy determined she died of blunt force trauma.

Police say Moore told them she had kicked Athena multiple times in the head and torso.

She’s being held without bail.

It’s unclear if Moore has an attorney who could comment.
