MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) - A skull found in Berkeley County last November has been identified as that of a Spartanburg woman reported missing more than two years ago.

Coroner Bill Salisbury said in a news release Tuesday that the skull has been identified as that of 28-year-old Nicole Goodlett. She was the mother of three and was reported missing by her family March 12, 2014.

She was last seen in Simpsonville around Christmas the previous year.

The skull was found in woods about 100 yards from Cainhoy Elementary School. Ten investigators from Spartanburg County were in the Lowcountry Wednesday as part of the investigation.

DNA was used to make the identification. The coroner says there was no trauma to the skull and the cause of death has not been undetermined.
