WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Prosecutors say they will seek to have a 15-year-old boy charged as an adult in stabbing death of a Wilmington musician.

Authorities say that 39-year-old Benjamin Privott was found stabbed to death in a yard near his home early last Friday morning.

Media outlets report that New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David said during a Tuesday news conference he will seek to have the juvenile who is in custody charged as an adult.

The teen is charged with first-degree murder, breaking and entering an automobile and attempted armed robbery.

Authorities say they think the teen acted alone and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the slaying.
