VERNAL, Utah (AP) - Utah State University’s Uintah Basin campus has named a new executive director to oversee operations of its Roosevelt and Vernal locations.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1YURpey ) that the university announced Wednesday that James Taylor would take over as executive director starting June 1.

Taylor has previous administrative leadership experience in Colorado, where he has spent the last two years serving as vice president of Colorado Mountain College and dean of Timberline Campus. While overseeing three locations there, he helped increase enrollments and reduced expenses by 20 percent. He put the savings toward student learning and developing a culture centered on students.

Taylor completed his doctorate in educational leadership and organizational development from Grand Canyon University.
