RICHLAND, Mich. (AP) - A public vote will be held on whether a small village near Kalamazoo should be dissolved.
WOOD-TV (https://bit.ly/1SIVxwK ) reports the question going before voters May 3 is whether the village of Richland should continue to exist or be dissolved and become part of Richland Township. A two-thirds majority is needed for the measure to pass.
If voters opt for dissolving the village, that would have to be approved by the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners.
