FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A Fort Collins woman has been convicted of a misdemeanor drug charge after her teenage son consumed edible marijuana and jumped from a third-story window.

The Coloradoan reports (https://goo.gl/QKQbkE ) 38-year-old Julieane Jablonski was arrested in April 2015 and charged with witness tampering, a felony. Investigators say she told her son’s 19-year-old roommate to lie about how he obtained a marijuana-infused brownie, which her son, also 19 at the time, consumed moments before hurling himself from the window.

Her son, Austin Essig, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A jury on Wednesday convicted Jablonski of giving her son’s friend the edible. In Colorado, possession and consumption of recreational marijuana is illegal for anyone younger than 21.

Jablonski is scheduled to be sentenced June 1.
