Forty-seven-year-old Corey Lamoureux was arrested Wednesday and charged with breaking and entering, simple assault and related crimes.

Police say Lamoureux showed up at the apartment Sunday evening and forced himself inside the front door, causing the victim to fall down. The victim told police Lamoureux took her cellphone out of her hand when she attempted to call 911 and shoved her.

Police say Lamoureux is a teacher at Woonsocket Middle School.

Lamoureux will be released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail. He’s due back in court June 30.
