LOS ANGELES (AP) - The California Highway Patrol says a 25-year-old woman was killed and a second person injured in a two-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 105 in south Los Angeles.

Only one lane was open for several hours early Thursday at the scene of the collision and traffic was backed up for miles.

The CHP says the woman was found dead by emergency crews. The second victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.

Investigators will try to determine if speed or alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
