PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Temple University has issued an alert after a student reported being robbed by a gunman in a fraternity house.
WCAU-TV (https://bit.ly/1YViZZd ) reports the incident happened about 2 a.m. Thursday at an unidentified frat house.
The student tells police he returned home from studying to find a man rummaging around in the kitchen, with a gun butt sticking out of his pocket.
The student says the burglar demanded money and when the student said he didn’t have any, the suspect took the student’s backpack - which contained some books and headphones - and ran away.
It wasn’t immediately clear if police have a description of the suspect.
The university issued an alert telling students to avoid the area, which is a couple blocks north of campus.
