TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - A zoo in northern Ohio says its southern white rhinoceros has died.

The Toledo Zoo says the rhino named Lulu was thought to be seventh oldest white rhino in a U.S. zoo.

Zoo officials say the 47-year-old rhino died Wednesday in her sleep.

She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in December. Zoo officials say her keepers had noticed she was showing signs of respiratory distress.

Lulu was at the Toledo Zoo for nearly 30 years.
