NEW YORK (AP) - Firefighters battled a 5-alarm fire that destroyed a dry cleaners shop in Long Island City, Queens.
Officials say the blaze broke out in the one-story building at the corner of 13th Street and 40th Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
More than 200 firefighters responded to fire, which caused significant damage to the commercial dry cleaner and minor damage to an adjacent furniture store. The fire was brought under control about five hours later.
Officials say two firefighters were treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
