MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A group of north Minot property owners are disputing their special assessments on a city street project.
The Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1oqesRX ) that the property owners argued their case in North Central District Court last week.
The $11.5 million project in 2013 made improvements to 36th Avenue Northeast, which runs past Stonebridge Farms, apartments and industrial properties. Several property owners are asking the court to declare the assessments invalid and direct new assessments to be made.
Property owners are contesting the portion of the assessment that runs between 10th and 13th Streets Northeast.
District Judge Todd Cresap took the case under advisement after listening to arguments from attorneys for the city and the landowners.
