ATLANTA (AP) - Fire officials say the body of a man has been found in a pool behind a house that caught fire in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta Fire Department Sgt. Cortez Stafford tells local news media that the body was found in the home’s backyard pool Saturday evening. Stafford says firefighters did not find anyone in the home.
Neighbors say an emergency room doctor lives at the house. Witnesses say they saw the doctor running at “top speed” away from the home with barely any clothes on during the fire.
Arson detectives are continuing to investigate the scene Sunday.
