TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Two men are being sought in a shooting that left a teenage boy wounded in New Jersey’s capital city.
Trenton police say the shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
They say the 15-year-old victim was walking in the area of Chestnut Avenue and Elm Street when the men emerged from a nearby park.
One of the men started shooting at the teen, who then fled the scene on foot. He realized a short time later that he had been shot in his right ankle.
The teen was treated at a hospital and later released. His name has not been released.
Authorities say a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
