RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A man has been arrested after an executive for SunTrust Bank was stabbed to death inside his Richmond home.

SunTrust spokesman Michael McCoy tells The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://tinyurl.com/hx27u4y ) that 55-year-old Brian Szabo was the bank’s executive vice president of corporate operational risk. McCoy says the company is “deeply saddened by the loss of a truly outstanding leader and friend.”

Richmond police say they were called to Szabo’s home shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. They found him there suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have charged 26-year-old Nigel Walker with Szabo’s death. Police say they believe Walker stabbed Szabo after an argument. Police did not say how the men were acquainted but listed their addresses as being in the same block.
