MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - The Martinsburg detachment of the West Virginia State Police led the state in felony arrests in fiscal year 2015.

Citing the agency’s annual report, The Journal ( ) reports that the detachment made a total of 1,135 arrests.

According to the report, the Princeton detachment was the second-highest in the state for felony arrests with 841.

Troop Two, one of the state’s groups of detachments, handled 2,326 felony arrests, 3,585 misdemeanor arrests, 416 DUI arrests and fielded 1,461 accident reports. The troop also led the state in felony and misdemeanor arrests.

The report details the activities and statistics of the agency and is submitted to the governor each year. The report also looks at the agency’s finances and special statewide units.
