TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - The National Weather Service says New Jersey could see sub-zero temperatures.

The service said Monday that a freeze warning will be in place Tuesday from 1 a.m. until 10 a.m. A freeze watch is set for late Tuesday to early Wednesday. The advisories cover all of southern and coastal New Jersey and parts of Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties.

The service warns that the colder spring temperatures could kill or damage some sensitive plants.
