BELLEVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say the driver of a car that collided with a light rail train has been cited for disregarding a traffic control signal.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in Belleville.

Authorities say the car driver apparently was the only person injured in the accident. The operator of the light rail was evaluated but did not need treatment.

None of the 17 passengers on the light rail were injured.

Some traffic delays were reported in the area while the accident was investigated.
