DETROIT (AP) - A Washington-based think tank that focuses on policy issues will hold a forum with Detroit-area business leaders on infrastructure investments.
The Bipartisan Policy Center will be joined Thursday at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit by former U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros, Detroit Regional Chamber President Sandy Baruah and Kresge Foundation President Rip Rapson.
Siebert Brandford Shank & Co. Chief Executive Suzanne Shank and city official Tom Lewand also will take part in the forum.
They are expected to discuss how the public and private sectors can work together to prioritize public value in future infrastructure investments.
The Bipartisan Policy Center also plans to release a paper which will include case studies analyzing infrastructure projects that were made possible by public-private partnerships, including a Detroit freeway lighting project.
