KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City police say they’re investigating after human remains were found at a dump site.

Police spokesman Darin Snapp said in a release that crews found the remains at the dump site during a city cleanup project Wednesday morning.

He said tests on the remains determined they were those of a human, but so far there’s no indication of a cause of death.

He said the Jackson County medical examiner’s office will conduct additional tests Thursday.
