KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) - The Kenosha Unified School District has reversed a school’s decision and says it will allow a transgender student to run for prom king.

The district said Wednesday that any student who meets the requirements to run for prom court will be on the ballot under the gender with which they identify.

The Kenosha News (https://bit.ly/1N9cbkj ) reports students had protested outside Tremper High School on Tuesday because a junior had been told he would have to run for prom queen, even though the transgender student identifies himself as a boy.
