WAKE FOREST, N.C. (AP) - Search warrants show a man charged with killing three people in a Wake County home confessed to the shootings before police searched his home.

Media outlets report that the search warrants say police took a shotgun, a handgun and ammunition, cellphones and a computer from 52-year-old Jonathan Sander’s house.

Authorities say Sander killed 76-year-old Elaine Mazzella, her 47-year-old son Sandy Mazzella and his 43-year-old wife Stephanie Mazzella on March 25 at their Wake Forest home.

Police say Sander lived down the street from the victims.

Neighbors say Sander worked for Sandy Mazzella’s landscaping business. The Mazzellas had a restraining order against Sander for threating to kill them, but it expired the day before their deaths.

It wasn’t known if Sander had a lawyer.
