MILWAUKEE (AP) - The FBI says shots were fired at an FBI SWAT team executing a search warrant in Milwaukee, but no officers were hurt.

Special Agent in Charge Robert J. Shields Jr. says members of the FBI Milwaukee Division SWAT team were executing the warrant at a home around 6 a.m. Wednesday when they were fired on.

But Shields says the bullets hit a ballistic shield, and no officers were injured. The people inside the home were removed and taken into custody without further incident.

The search warrant was being executed in support of an investigation by a southeastern Wisconsin gang task force. The task force includes personnel from both the FBI and the Milwaukee Police Department.
