BETTENDORF, Iowa (AP) - A stabbing at an eastern Iowa high school has left one student with minor injuries.

Bettendorf city officials say a 15-year-old girl stabbed a 16-year-old boy with a knife Wednesday morning at Bettendorf High School.

The boy’s back and arm were injured. He was treated at the school and did not go to a hospital.

The girl was taken to the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center in Davenport. She faces felony charges of willful injury and going armed with intent along with two aggravated misdemeanors.

Bettendorf police are investigating the incident. Parents were notified of the incident through text messages and email.
