JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville teen faces a possible life sentence for fatally shooting a man during a gun deal.
The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/zYtmry ) reports that the 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent. He faces a minimum of 40 years when he’s sentenced in May.
Authorities say the teen and two adults met 25-year-old Tony Vernon Johnson last June to trade handguns. Johnson was gunned down after the exchange, and another man, 24-year-old Stephon Graham, was wounded as he tried to flee.
