JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A federal grand jury has indicted a 62-year-old Mississippi man on three counts of bankruptcy fraud.

U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis, in a news release Wednesday, said Kenneth Bowman Jr., of Terry, Mississippi, embezzled about $101,734 from the bankruptcy estate of Piggly Wiggly of Crystal Springs, Inc. Terry was the officer and representative for the company which was involved in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

Davis says Bowman allegedly appropriated to his own use estate funds, making checks payable to himself and reducing assets available to creditors.

If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

A trial before U.S. District Judge Tom S. Lee is set for June 6.
