MADISON, Wis. (AP) - University of Wisconsin System leaders have quietly canceled a series of presentations on how Republican budget cuts have affected system schools.
The system’s chancellors were each scheduled to give five-minute presentations during the Board of Regents’ meeting at UW-Green Bay on Thursday. But system spokesman Alex Hummel says system President Ray Cross and regents President Regina Millner decided last Friday to cancel them because the chancellors need more time to paint thorough pictures.
Hummel says Cross and Millner want the chancellors to give more in-depth presentations in their respective regions.
Hummel says it’s yet to be determined if the general public will be allowed to attend the presentations. The public could have watched the presentations if they had been delivered during the regents meeting
