PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Villanova University will be closed Friday and all classes cancelled so that everyone who wants can attend the parade in honor of its NCAA champion men’s basketball team.
Classes were also canceled Tuesday, the day after the Wildcats defeated North Carolina.
The parade is being hosted by the city of Philadelphia. It will start at 1 p.m., and run for five blocks from 20th and Market streets to the park in front of City Hall, where a rally will be held.
The university says it’s working with SEPTA to make available for sale one-day passes for Villanova faculty, students and staff.
