ELMORE, Ala. (AP) - Corrections authorities say two inmates were stabbed this week during a fight at an Alabama prison.

Department of Corrections spokesman Bob Horton tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/1MUufEa ) three inmates started fighting in a dorm at Draper Correctional Facility in Elmore around 8 a.m. Monday. One used a makeshift knife to stab the others.

Both injured inmates were treated at medical facilities. The inmate accused of stabbing the others was transported to another prison.

Horton said an inmate at the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville reported being assaulted Saturday and appeared to have puncture wounds on his arms and legs. That incident was being investigated.

Also at St. Clair on Saturday, an inmate was treated for a possible broken arm after he told an officer he had fallen down some stairs.
