DURAND, Mich. (AP) - A church for bikers could buy a vacant elementary school that’s west of Flint.

The Argus-Press of Owosso (https://bit.ly/1Mgmngh ) reported Wednesday that members of the Durand Board of Education have agreed to create a resolution to accept a $125,000 bid on Doyle Knight Elementary from Victory Biker Church. A vote is scheduled for April 18.

Brian McKay, senior pastor at the church, has said that the non-denominational Christian church has outgrown its leased site in Clayton Township and plans to move to the former Lennon school.

The top offer came from the church, with a $15,000 bid coming from a group planning a family entertainment center.
