ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) - East Feliciana Parish sheriff’s deputies say a correctional officer at Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson has been arrested after she was allegedly caught bringing 91 grams of synthetic marijuana to work.

Sgt. Kevin Garig tells The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1RRc8f4) 33-year-old April Lemon, of McComb, Mississippi, was arrested Monday night.

Garig says Lemon faces one count of introduction of contraband into a penal facility, a felony.

Lemon was released Tuesday on $10,000 bail.

Pam Laborde, a state Department of Public Safety and Corrections spokeswoman, said the synthetic marijuana was found in Lemon’s lunch container.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Lemon.
