KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Kansas City, Kansas, police are asking for the public’s help in identifying skeletal remains found by a mushroom hunter.

Police say the human remains were discovered Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the remains appear to be those of a white man who was 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and wearing a Puka shell necklace with a shark tooth.

Police suspect he probably had been missing for a year.
