HAMPTON, Ga. (AP) - Police say a man was killed when he was hit by a motorist while riding with a group of bicyclists in suburban Atlanta.
Henry County police spokesman Joey Smith tells local news media Thursday that 59-year-old John A Harsch was struck from behind leaving him with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Smith says the three other bicyclists were not injured.
The accident is still under investigation. No arrests or charges were made.
Smith says the findings from the investigation will be presented to a grand jury to determine if charges will be filed against the motorist.
Multiple reports say Harsh was a physician at Southeastern Primary Care Specialist.
