MILWAUKEE (AP) - Police say an off-duty Milwaukee firefighter was driving drunk when he hit a minivan and killed two people.

West Allis police say the firefighter was driving a pickup truck and struck the minivan Monday about 5 p.m. as it made a turn. Both vehicles struck an oncoming car.

Sixty-four-year-old Yaruba Sly Lundasi and 38-year-old Wendell Johnson were killed. Lundasi was driving the minivan. Johnson was a passenger. The driver of the car and the firefighter were treated for injuries.

Investigators say speed and alcohol are factors in the fatal crash. WISN-TV (https://bit.ly/1Yguie0 ) reports Milwaukee Fire Department officials are reviewing the case, which has been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
