ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a man who was being held at the Caddo County Jail.

The OSBI says 41-year-old Darius Randell Robinson died on Monday. Robinson was arrested in Oklahoma County April 1 on four child-support warrants and was transferred to Caddo County where the warrants were issued.

The OSBI says Robinson attempted to escape Monday night, and jailers entered his call to clear items that he had destroyed. The OSBI says Robinson stopped breathing when jailers attempted to restrain him. Jail staff resuscitated Robinson, but he later died at a hospital in Anadarko.

The OSBI said Thursday that the Office of the State Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
