HERNSHAW, W.Va. (AP) - Kanawha County authorities are looking for a motorist that fled the scene of an accident that left a pedestrian dead.
Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Rutherford says the accident occurred around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 94 in the Hernshaw area. The pedestrian, an adult male, was struck by a vehicle that fled toward Boone County. Another car then struck the pedestrian while he was on the ground, and that driver pulled over and called authorities.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The man’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
