SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine’s largest community college will host an event licensed from the popular TED, or Technology, Entertainment and Design, talks that will focus on the state’s changing landscape for young people.
Southern Maine Community College is hosting TEDxSMCC from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The event will feature speakers and performers who will seek to engage students and the community at large about their educational and professional lives.
The college says the event will put a special focus on how the state is changing as its technology, economics and social culture evolve.
The event will take place at the SMCC Hub Athletic Center in South Portland.
