ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals have traded left-handed pitcher Jayson Aquino to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations.
Aquino was acquired by the Cardinals on a waiver claim from Cleveland on Dec. 9 and assigned to the 40-man roster. He was later designated for assignment ahead of Thursday’s trade to Baltimore.
Aquino was signed as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic by the Colorado Rockies in 2009.
